summer and afton began two weeks of swim lessons today. stay tuned for what they learn!

this boy loves to smile. and laugh and giggle and coo.

but you know what the weirdest thing is? he *loves* to get his diaper changed. and the messier the better. "oh, you have to painstakingly (and awkwardly) take off all my clothes (over my head) because i'm covered (and you're covered) in yuck? no worries. giggles all the way."

dallin continues to mesmerize everyone of us.

yes, he's *that* baby. the one who locks strangers on the street in his tractor beam of babyness and they can't resist commenting on what a darling, darling, darling he is.

and it's true.

whew! we made it through our first ever school year! with many, many, many (many) more to go :)

for graduation, summer's teacher made each of the children name-based word poems.

recital dreams

last weekend was summer's ballet recital.

this year's recital theme was "A Whole New World" based off of Disney's Aladdin. summer's class was the arabian darkness.

summer has been working hard this year on her form and technique, which really showed through in the performance.

and i *totally* support him in his varied activities and adventures.

harvest

summer and afton LOVE harvesting strawberries from the strawberry plants grandma janna planted for them when we moved into our new house two years ago.

they gathered up these beauties this afternoon.
