she is doing marvelously and recovering quite well. she even received the okay to travel to chicago for kenny's law school graduation last weekend.
it will likely take over a year for her doctors to accurately judge whether or not her cancer is growing/spreading . she has had, and will continue to have, various MRI and PET scans to see as early as possible if the radiation and chemo were effective; however, the damage the radiation and chemo did to her lung was so severe that it's hard for her oncologists to see much from these scans (think of the smoke settling after a bomb goes off).
we continue to hope and pray for a complete cure of her cancer, and are grateful in the meantime that she no longer has to suffer through treatment.
